About Us
F-World is the podcast about fragility – the only one.
Together with our guests, we explore how the forces of fragility interact and manifest across complex human and natural systems: economics, politics, society, development, security, culture, psychology, and the environment.
We’ll take a careful look at the forces of fragility wherever they emerge, from the Western world to West Africa and beyond. We want our listeners to gain the knowledge to discern the multiplicity of forces shaping their lives – whether in far-away places affected by conflict and violence or within their own homes and communities.
Our goal is to make the concepts of fragility and resilience accessible to the general public by engaging meaningfully in conversations that usually take place only among a narrow set of experts.
We believe that everyone benefits when thoughtful people can discuss complex ideas in ways that are down to earth. Even more, we want to discover our guests’ personal stories – who they are, what they believe, and what drives them.

MISSION
We believe fragility is the master concept of our time. At F-World, we explore the forces that make countries, societies, and people more fragile, how these forces manifest globally, and what can be done about them.
The F-World podcast is for everyone who seeks an analytically rigorous yet down to earth understanding of fragility. We provide a platform for the people who do the hard work on fragility to share their wisdom, and a portal for all of us to take a more active role in forging a more resilient future.
Our interviews do two things. First, we engage our guests in thought-provoking conversations to better define and understand fragility, figure out what to do and what not to do about it, and map options for the future. Second, we aim to discover our guests’ personal stories – who they are, what they believe, and what drives them.
By bringing together analytical depth with personal storytelling, we aim to inspire curious minds and daring hearts to take up the challenge of fragility. We want our listeners to engage meaningfully with ideas that are usually restricted to experts and become better at navigating the forces shaping their lives.
